Free from trying to look at themselves, the eyes can finally see

previous painting ........ next painting

I painted this painting after a number of years of study into theology and the philosophies and psychology behind belief and religion. The painting represents the first time a child who has been raised religiously discovers reality for what it is.

A metaphorical removal of the mask to allow the eyes to see the wonder of existence without out any pre-ordained judgment.
